Fons van der Sommen, PhD is an Associate Professor of computer vision, machine learning, and medical image analysis at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), where he leads research in the Architectures for Reliable Image Analysis (ARIA) group. His work focuses on developing advanced AI methods for healthcare applications, particularly computer-aided detection and diagnosis systems that support early detection of cancer and other diseases through robust image analysis.
